El head coach Fabian «Grabbz» Lohmann no continuará en G2 Esports para la próxima temporada, según distintas fuentes han contado a Esportmaníacos. Distintos clubes han mostrado interés por Fabián, aunque todavía sigue bajo contrato con G2 Esports.
El motivo viene por las dos partes. Por un lado, el club no quedó satisfecho con los resultados en esta temporada tras el fichaje de Rekkles. Por otro, el propio Grabbz estaba descontento con el club. De esta forma, los caminos entre el técnico y el equipo eran irreconciliables.
En marzo de este año, G2 Esports y Grabbz se sentaron para hablar de la ampliación de contrato, ya que el club tiende a tener a sus jugadores y miembros a más de un año vista por si lo quisiera vender. Tras el rechazo por su parte, G2 Esports fichó a Nelson, sin preguntar ni a él ni a Duffman, el analista jefe, lo que generaría más descontento.
Nelson, conocido por su gran conocimiento del juego, venía para insuflar de distintos conocimientos y un estilo chino al equipo europeo. Sin embargo, aunque el cambio se notó, no fue suficiente, y se quedaron a las puertas de Worlds.
Tras el final de temporada, G2 Esports no quiso extender el contrato de Grabbz y le comunicaron que no quería continuar, pero el técnico tampoco deseaba continuar con el club.
Grabbz entró en G2 Esports en diciembre de 2017, proveniente del ya desaparecido Team ROCCAT. Según nos han comentado, ya hay equipos interesados en él, pero para el traspaso tendrían que negociar con Carlos «Ocelote» Rodríguez, pues su contrato acaba en 2022. El contrato de Nelson concluiría a final de 2023.

Head coach Fabian «Grabbz» Lohmann will not continue at G2 Esports for next season, according to different sources told Esportmaniacs. Different clubs have shown interest in Fabian, although he is still under contract with G2 Esports.
The reason comes from both sides. On the one hand, the club was not satisfied with the results this season after the signing of Rekkles. On the other hand, Grabbz himself was discontent with the club. Thus, the paths between the coach and the team were irreconcilable.
In March of this year, G2 Esports and Grabbz sat down to discuss a contract extension, as the club tends to have its players and members more than a year ahead in case it wanted to sell him. After he declined, G2 signed Nelson, without asking him or Duffman, the head analyst, which would lead to more discontent.
Nelson, known for his great knowledge of the game, was coming in to bring a different set of skills and a Chinese style to the European team. However, while the change was noticeable, it was not enough, and they fell just short of Worlds.
After the end of the season, G2 Esports did not want to extend Grabbz’s contract and informed him that he did not want to continue, but the coach did not want to stay with the club either.
Grabbz joined G2 Esports in December 2017, coming from the now defunct Roccat. According to what we have been told, there are already teams interested in him, but for the transfer they would have to negotiate with Carlos «Ocelote» Rodriguez, as his contract ends in 2022. Nelson’s contract would expire at the end of 2023.
