Cuatro meses después volvería a Europa a conquistar títulos.

English Version

Head Coach Joey «YoungBuck» Steltenpool will remain at the helm of Excel Esports’ LEC team, renewing for several seasons, according to sources close to Anonimotum.

YoungBuck has an extensive background in Europe. He entered the scene as a player, being the toplaner of different teams such as Cophenaguen Wolves. His first coaching experience would be in August 2015 with Enemy. Four months later he would return to Europe to conquer titles.

He arrived at G2 Esports to manage all of 2016 and 2017. Despite winning several LCS EU with the Ocelote team, the results in Worlds were not as expected. In 2018 and 2019 he would be leading the Fnatic project, where they would reach the Worlds final in Korea. However, the coach took a step back and decided to start something different.

In 2019, with the entry of franchises in Europe, a new club entered: Excel. Since then he has been the team’s head coach. Mind you, the entity is not known for its great successes, as they have never managed to reach the Playoffs. Although they were on the verge of doing so in the summer of 2021.

If this news is confirmed, it would be Youngbuck’s longest contract to date.
